We went to Zymos Brewing in Littleton, CO on August 15, 2025, and I took this image. The place was good.
I guess it has been 4+ years since I have posted.
Here are some pics of a trip that I took to Cooperstown and Toronto, Canada.
And it was really good. One can purchase an access pass to view the sessions that were presented for either $25 or $50 depending upon your relationship to the beer industry. While I only attended 4 sessions that were live on Thursday, November 5th, I was not able to attend any of the sessions on Friday the 6th, so I might buy a pass to view them later. I learned about some WordPress plugins that may be useful. The three sessions I went to were:

We had a little video that provided some history of the Brewery, but I was not able to find it online in 5 minutes time. Meanwhile, here is the Wikipedia entry. Their beer tastes pretty good.
I got a passport for the GABF this year, and I went to my first two places. They were Lady Justice Brewing and Fiction Brewing. I’ve been wanting to go to them for a while. They both had BOGO deals with the pass.
Our first stop was Lady Justice on Colfax.

I thought Lady Justice was going to have a new beer named after RBG, but I guess it is coming out in November or December.
Then, we went to Fiction Brewing down the same road. We liked the atmosphere at Fiction a little better. While it was also right on Colfax Ave., the entrance was at the back, and we had a sound barrier protecting us from the traffic on Colfax.

My son, wife, and I went down to Mesa Verde National Park at the beginning of January, and we hit Ska Brewing in Durango on the way back. It was good.

I finally got the chance to go to a new brewery on their opening day, July 6, 2018. I’ve been looking forward to Coal Mine Ave Brewing since they had signs on the building going back to 2016. They had three of their own brews available, and I had two of them. I am glad that they already had Untappd profiles set up for their beers. Two more beers should be available soon. They also have a couple of choices from Dead Hippie and Landlocked brewery.
Here are some pics of the place.

I went here about a week ago. I had no idea that there was an American Breweriana Association, and that little Potosi, WI (in the SW corner) held this gem. I actually didn’t go through the museum, since I didn’t have time, but I will definitely go back. I did pick up some beer and other stuff while I was there.
“Potosi Brewery is home to the ABA National Brewery Museum™, the Great River Road Interpretive Center and the Potosi Brewing Company Transportation Museum.”
Here are some pics that I took.

This was noted in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
“Beer and history lovers, it’s time to polish up your résumé because the Smithsonian is hiring. [PDF document seems to be missing right now.]
The Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History plans to hire a historian for its American Brewing History Initiative. The historian will lead field and archival research for a new project on American brewing history with an emphasis on craft brewing.”
This post has some more information about the position, and this has more info on the initiative about brewing history at the SI.
The next BBW Conference is going to be in wonderful Milwaukee. Since this is close to where my folks live, I might have to twist my wife’s arm to let me go back home to visit the family. I am glad it isn’t going to be in the middle of August during the total eclipse.
